Almost a year ago, I had my first foray into making dolls’ clothes, and somehow the urge struck again 363 days later. I made this out of a Tory Burch jumper that unfortunately must have caught on something, as it had a few holes when I inspected it for wear a week ago. I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to practise hand sewing a knit fabric. I have to improve my stitching, and also invest in lots of coloured thread (when blind stitching just isn’t working, or perhaps that’s another thing I need to work on) so that my stitches don’t show in the finished product. Anyway, she’s going to a special wee one, and I hope she’ll have a lot of fun with it, even if it isn’t perfect.
