Giveaway: Ferrero Rocher — Make Your Moments Golden…

This contest is now closed!

Congratulations, Katherine-Marie!

Mmm… chocolate…  hazelnuts… wafers…  I’m not sure who came up with the idea of mixing the sweet of the gods with earthy hazelnuts and crisp wafers –wait, that would be Ferrero.  And their chocolates are truly divine.

Here’s my little story.  This was in the 90’s (I was a wee lass back then!) and it was either just past Christmas, or just before New Year’s.  The past is a little hazy, but whatever the exact date was, the fact remains that my big sister got a special present from grandma.  It was a different looking present, to be sure… we conjectured the many things the mysterious package could be… from a jewelry box, to a music box, and finally to an index-card file which we settled on as being most likely.  (My, but we did get useful presents regularly in those days!)  When she finally opened it, my jaw dropped and I said, “Candy?  That’s it?!  I guess it’s better than an index-card file…”  To my little, unsophisticated mind, toys were preferable to edibles.  What use were edibles, anyway?  You ate them, they were gone, and you had nothing to hold and play with afterwards.  My dad laughed at me.  “You’ll change your mind one day about getting food as presents,” he said.  And oh, how right he was.  (I must admit that after that childish outburst, I went on to savour 5 of those delicious spheres…)

Anyway.  Back to the present day.  I still love and indulge in Ferrero Rocher, so when I was contacted to see if I would be interested in a giveaway for a 200 gram box of Ferrero Rocher chocolates… well, what do you think I said? 🙂  I’m so excited and pleased to have the opportunity to give back to my lovely readers!

Unfortunately, this contest is open only to Canadian readers.  Apologies to all my international friends!

All you have to do to enter is leave a comment below (and be sure to add your email address in the contact form so I can get back to you if you’re the winner!) telling me your favourite Ferrero Rocher moment, and what kinds of topics and posts you would like to see in the future on MissCathie.com.  I’m always trying to improve my blog, and I would love input from you all!

Contest ends on November 16, 2012 and a random comment will be drawn to determine the winner.

I’m not asking anyone to follow me on Twitter or any other social media site, because I think if you wanted to keep in touch with me through those sites, you would have done so already.  🙂  But if you like my blog, please do consider adding me on Bloglovin’!

So treat yourself, and you might be one of the lucky ones to have something big waiting for you under the Christmas tree this year!

xoxo,

— Miss Cathie

    Ferrero Rocher reminds me of Christmas, from the time I was a child. It’s the one time of year we give it and receive it, so it makes it all the more special! I’m enjoying your blog and would love to see more outfit suggestions and product reviews. Thanks!

    Favourite Ferrero Rocher moment: Christmas of 2007 – Just got to work and on my desk was a small package of Ferrero Rocher in lieu of a Christmas Card from a favourite office mate! I thought it was the smartest idea! It was a delicious good cheer!!!

    Suggested topics for future: Dressing up according to your body type;
    Hairstyles for your face and body and personality type;
    To Mani or not to mani – is it really part of good grooming? Are clean and well-trimmed fingernails not enough?
    Exercises and their calorie burn equivalents…

    Love your blog,
    Wendy

    When I was a little girl my dad would would go into the living room every night after dinner and come back to the kitchen with a chocolate wrapped in gold paper for his only princess daughter (me!!). Those times with my dad were definitely my most memorable Ferrero moments!

    I’ve only just begun following your blog but I’d love to see more beauty posts! Perhaps one about your favourite skin care products?

    Awesome giveaway!

    My favorite ferrero rocher moments are always around Christmas, we usually have small packs of these in our stockings Christmas morning so I always associate it with that.

    Your blog…it might be valuable to see more real pictures (your own) of things you’ve liked/bought etc.
