I’m a lass of four-and-twenty autumns. I am shy and introverted, though I can be social at times. I am often labeled as a goody-two-shoes, but that’s only if you don’t really know me. I have a mischievous imp dancing about somewhere in my heart, though I do try to be good… and I am very opinionated, though I try not to be judgmental. I prefer books over television, classical music over the latest band, and cozy get-togethers with friends over rowdy house parties. Sometimes though, I shut the door behind me and indulge in dreaming, a book, a cup of hot tea, and snuggling underneath the covers. I might even go to the pictures by myself, and eat alone at a fancy restaurant with aplomb. Reclusive? Perhaps. But deep down, I’m an idealist and a romantic.
I’m currently working towards a degree in English Literature and French. I am passionate about dancing, good books, fashion, travel, fine art, and dining.
My approach to style can be summed up in these two quotes:
“I don’t understand how a woman can leave the house without fixing herself up a little – if only out of politeness. And then, you never know, maybe that’s the day she has a date with destiny. And it’s best to be as pretty as possible for destiny.”
— Coco Chanel
“To live content with small means; to seek elegance rather than luxury, and refinement rather than fashion; to be worthy, not respectable; and wealthy, not rich; to study hard, think quietly, talk gently, act frankly … to listen to stars and buds, to babes and sages, with open heart; await occasions, hurry never … this is my symphony.”
–William Henry Channing
With all that said, welcome to my life!
