Put a Pie in Your Pocket…

In the midst of the humdrum business of grocery shopping this past Sunday, I stumbled upon a pocket pie maker… in the shape of an apple!  That finished me — shot me straight through the heart; I just had to have this cuteness-churning instrument. Thank you to my beau for being so kind… and indeed… he was more than amply rewarded for this purchase, because I turned out three cute lil’ pies for him today! ;)

There’s a certain je ne sais quois about little pies.  They’re just as yummy as regular sized pies, but oh so much cuter.  I prefer the petite versions; they are reminiscent of dolls’ houses and tea parties, of Alice and the Mad Hatter in Wonderland.  Maybe Little Red Riding Hood even had some tucked into that basket of goodies meant for her grandmother!

This was the first pie made!!  I promise that the successive ones looked so much better! 🙂

In conclusion, I am utterly happy with the mold… it added quite a bit of fun to the process of baking, and that makes anything taste so much better, or I believe it does!

    Hi Cathie,

I had purchased this little mold a couple of years ago and have yet to use it. I thought I would give it a go this weekend but I’ve lost the ‘Recipe Card’ that would have been enclosed within the box! Can I please trouble you for that info when you get a chance??

    Thank You,
    Tina
