The ‘Nothing’ Morning…

There are some days, when you’re up early and doing all these little tasks… the straightening-up sort of things, or perhaps writing up a frenzy, until you look at the clock, and it says it’s Eleven, and you feel as if you could do with an ‘Elevenses’ to Revive Oneself, in the tradition of Pooh.

Pooh always liked a little something at eleven o’clock in the morning,
and he was very glad to see Rabbit getting out the plates and mugs;
and when Rabbit said, “Honey or condensed milk with your bread?”
he was so excited that he said, “Both,” and then, so as not to seem
greedy, he added, “but don’t bother about the bread, please.”
—Winnie-the-Pooh

Today, my body isn’t going anywhere special, but my imagination is.  This is what I wear on mornings where I seem to do a million things, but when someone asks what I did today, I say, “O, nothing much…”

These sweatpants are wonderfully soft, and just the comfiest thing to wear.  I am in a cheerfully pink mood today, so nothing but a top-to-toe rosy outfit would do.

Shirt:  Allison Morgan –found at Winners
Bottom: Roots chino sweatpant in ‘vintage rose’
Shoes (or slippers…):  Bloch canvas ballet slippers.  Perfect for those impromptu pirouettes on the kitchen tiles.

What do you wear on ‘nothing’ mornings?

Hippy, happy, hoppy Wednesday, everyone!

xoxo,

    This summer I have been favoring my orange multicolor stripe dress from Target and matching orange stripe bucket hat (seen on my blog as ‘the outfit I wore to visit the horse farm’). Perfect for tidying up the house and running errands, because the dress is machine washable, too colorful to show any stain and has an elastic so I don’t need a belt!

    I’m having a nothing morning too :). Pink silk pyjama pants and hubby’s soft light blue t-shirt!

      That sounds lovely! 🙂 Silk PJs are my favourite.
