December Days…

Here we are, getting closer and closer to Christmas. Every December day is tinged with anticipation and magic, bringing out the spirit of childhood in adults, and enhancing the joy of youngsters, but December 19 has somehow become a particularly special day for me.

On December 19, 2013, my man proposed to me. ♥

On December 19, 2015, we brought home our very first kitty, Bailey Galahad.

Sleigh bells ring, are you listening…

This year, December 19 sees us spending time with our own little baby V, and it is two days before our beloved dog Teddy’s second birthday. It is nice to look back on all our past milestones that happened on this day, and look forward to what might happen on future December 19ths.

We are keeping our winter quietly, just moments among us five, taking walks in the peacefulness that follows a snowfall, taking tea by a lit Christmas tree while seasonal melodies play in the background, reading Dickens novels, watching Christmas movies, and enjoying baby’s antics. Life doesn’t have to be exciting to be beautiful. If you are in a season of quietness, enjoy and be blessed.

In the lane, snow is glistening…

Jacket: Danier down puffer with leather sleeves (2014)

I hope to check-in again for Christmas, but in the meantime, I leave you with our three little fur-babies (one of them who is now on Rainbow Bridge) enjoying the enchantment of the Yuletide season.

Snow flakes.

I counted till they danced so
Their slippers leaped the town –
And then I took a pencil
To note the rebels down –
And then they grew so jolly
I did resign the prig –
And ten of my once stately toes
Are marshalled for a jig!

To note the rebels down –

And ten of my once stately toes
Are marshalled for a jig!
