I confess that I find it difficult to entrust my luggage to any airline. They already have my life in their hands, why complicate things any further? I like to travel with one teeny-tiny luggage and as little fuss as is humanly possible. My man, who is my travelling partner-in-crime thinks I’m a bit of a loony (Don’t you think our roles are reversed?!) and always suggests emphatically that I bring along just a little bit more clothes and bigger luggage. He cites bringing back mementos and other sundry purchases as the reason why checked-in baggages are a good idea. If only he knew my idea of souvenirs are quite ‘flat’, and one type doesn’t always make it back, either! (Bonbons and pastries… yum!)
I got an email the other day from a girl curious to know what I would buy as a way to remember my trip…
Well, when it comes to souvenirs, I’m just not a fan of the t-shirts with cheesy sayings across the chest, or the other million little dinky trinkets that are poorly made and overpriced. Hopefully, this Qwiki will explain why a carry-on is all I really need to fit my tangible memories in!

I loved the video, you have no reason to be embarrassed. Loved the ideas for souvenirs – I’ve recently started to buy local jewellery as a gift and everyone seems to like it 🙂

Inês, thank you for watching and the sweet comment! ♥ Jewelry is a lovely souvenir gift, as well! I just have trouble finding ones that aren’t, well… dinky. I’m sure if I looked harder (and had more time to look!) I’d find something absolutely stunning, too. 🙂
