What to Wear to an Immunisation Appointment…

AKA a mummy-style outfit-of-the-day post.

This was worn (as per the title) to the doctor’s office, for his 2 month shots.  It was also the first time in a very long while that I felt like I was dressed as a ‘normal’ person… that is, dressing for myself as opposed to wearing certain clothes so that either a bump fits, or eating apparatus are easily accessible.  Of course, the top is still a nursing top, but on the whole… this is me.  It felt pretty exhilarating to be nearly back.  I just need to work on losing those last few pesky pounds, stubbornly clinging onto my frame as if we are besties.  (We are not.)  Summer = nautical, always.  And linen skirts, and cute-but-simple ballet flats.

This was also one of the many times where I took Multiwear’s “Transition Tote” out for a test drive, and the only time where we got photos that were decent –that is, where I didn’t hate the sight of myself in photos.  Luckily, there is a cute baby in my arms to distract everyone with!

Top:  Sweet Mommy maternity/nursing striped half-sleeves top (2018)

Skirt:  Gap ruffle wrap skirt in true black (2018)

Shoes:  Banana Republic ‘Robin’ almond-toe ballet flat in almond suede and black (2018)

Diaper Bag:  Multiwear ‘Transition Tote’ bag c/o (2018)

Of course, daddy gets a special mention… he loves to carry the baby, and baby loves being all snuggled up next to him.  He’s grown up a lot since the days when we would put him in the carrier and he would look like a turtle whose head had retreated into its shell.

We are simply trying to soak up as much sunshine as we can before the darker and colder days of autumn and winter (though still my favourite!) hit.

Speak soon! xx
